vegas, AGAIN?!!!

Can i just say how wonderful richie is. i've been debating whether or not i should attend WPPI. Ofcourse i want to. But I didn't know if my wallet would go that deep enough. But, it turns out that our last trip to vegas got us another trip to vegas!!!!!! AND to add a cherry on top, one of the weekend choices was during WPPI!!!!!!

I am seriously excited!!! And am so very grateful for richie being so selfless enough to give up his comp so that I can attend WPPI. But it's vegas. So I don't think he minds at all. :)

Sooooo! Who wants to be my friend? Let's all be friends!!! Warning: If you see a pale asian girl with long hair just staring at you, it's because I want to be friends. Hahahahahhahahahahahahah.

And since every post needs a picture, here's a picture of my crazy hot sister and me (left: me; right: my sister), for Christmas 2008. Yup. 2008. I had to beg my sister to take Santa pictures. I'm not joking about the begging. I wanted to place our new Santa picture next to our 1989 one, but I can't find our old Santa picture. I looked everywhere!!! And I'm certain I stored it away for safekeeping because I knew we would take 'grown-up' Santa pictures one day. i was so sad...

Anyways, what I really want out of WPPI is to learn, meet new people, and LEARN!!! And to play craps and 3 card poker again. lol.

City of Sin

during mlk weekend, richie and i went to vegas for FIVE days. lol. yes. really. 5 days. that's a long time. but i had so much fun. i finally learned how to play craps! do you know how exciting that is? every time i stood at the craps table and tried to ask the dealers how you played, they weren't that responsive. lol. but this time, the dealers were soo nice enough to explain the game step by step. i don't know all the rules, but i know enough to play. and what's also great is that since you're usually betting for each other, it's such a fun game. you win together and you loose together. and i got to roll too! and i was seriously so scared. it was my first time ever and my heart was beating so fast, but i had a pretty good roll.

and on saturday, the soon to be Kims came up and joined us for some fun and an impromptu session. ***a little shoutout to eddie! it was his birthday this weekend! happy birthday!!! we all love you!!!***

and YES! since we stayed at paris, we started our shoot there and just walked around and had some major fun.

just for you nancy! richie is the best! not only is he learning to shoot in manual to help me, but he can sport a flower headband like nobody's business! what more can you ask for, right? lol.

and i am catching the first episode of this season's LOST right now. and it is craji! i have soooo missed sawyer's witty ass remarks and nicknames!

you know what's really sweet? i called my sister freckles for a little while. and she totally loved the nickname. lol. she had no idea i got it from sawyer. and when she started watching LOST, she was so disappointed i didn't make the name up for her. lol. isn't that so sweet?

COOL Runnings

you know those movies that take you back to your childhood? or atleast my childhood. ;0) they always seem to put me at ease. and no matter how bad or cheesy the movie, i can always sit through the whole thing AND enjoy it.

remember 'coming to america'? 'the cutting edge'? 'father of the bride' lol. well, this weekend, i randomly caught 'cool runnings' on tv. and i enjoyed every minute of it.

you HEARD me!

k folks. it's over and done with. i'm so over it. when people ask me what i do, i say i'm trying to be a wedding photographer. try? what the hell does that mean? i talk the talk. but did i walk the walk? it's hard. getting into an industry i know nothing about. even more difficult because i don't know anyone in this industry. but i know it's time the gloves came off. i chose to be wedding photographer because i know i have a passion for it. so, it's about time i face my fears and the unknown. besides. after multi-variable calculus, i don't fear anything.

i am deathly afraid of heights. but i went sky diving. i was getting a D in calculus, but i studied my ass off and came out with an A. i was scared to learn how to drive a manual car (why? when you can drive automatics) and drive up that scary 90 degree hill, but i closed my eyes, shifted gears and slid back to ALMOST hit a car. i was scared to purchase my first dslr, because after my camera was delivered, i knew there was nothing that could stop me. ANYWAYS! the moral of the story is that I DID IT.

there are 2 things i am/was really passionate about. one: to become an actor and star in 90210 (the brenda and brandon years. not the new series). don't laugh. i know you guys all watched that show. and two: to be a wedding photographer. and obviously, i didn't get to hang out with the walsh's.

so, next time you see me, ask me. ask me what i do. and i will yell (nicely, ofcourse): i AM a wedding photographer!!!
